Schalke lose interest in Baros

Liverpool's £9million asking price was too much for the Bundesliga outfit, who were keen to take the Czech striker on loan.

"The club will only sell and not loan out," said the club's sporting director Rudi Assauer.

"But it's almost impossible to agree to eight to 10 million euros. So Milan Baros will not be moving to Schalke 04."
