Since taking over at Liverpool Benitez has widened the scouting network and so the club have plenty of scouts over in South America to try and find the best players of tomorrow.

"With regards to showcasing possible world-class players of the future this is a very important competition and we will have scouts over there looking out for any promising players that may crop up," says Benitez.

"The likes of Sinama and Le Tallec were first spotted in this tournament a few years back. It is vital these days to spot talented players at a young age, get them in and starting working with them as early as possible.

"All the best teams in this age group will be there and that means so will the best players. For this reason it is essential that we have representatives over in Peru.

"Signing up the best young players is a very competitive market. There is always a lot of scouts at events like this and it will be difficult but we must do our best to try and sign up any players we deem good enough for this football club."
