A number of scouts from Premiership and first division clubs were out in force last night watching over Liverpool's latest talent Neil Mellor.
The Anfield youngster netted his 45th goal of the season last night for the reserves who beat Bolton 4-2 at home.
Representatives from Newcastle United are believed to be "extremely interested in testing Liverpool" to see if they would sell.
