Norway boss Nils Johan Semb has hit back at Gerard Houllier over the John Arne Riise row.
The Liverpool boss was unhappy that Semb played Riise for a full 90 minutes in a recent friendly while others such as Ole Gunnar Solksjaer only played 45 minutes. Houllier criticised Semb publicly following the game but now the Norway boss has hit back.
"I can't call the manager to all players and ask how much time I'm allowed to give them," said Semb.
"It's the manager that must call me and tell me what he wants."
