While Semmy is hopeful of becoming a Liverpool regular he admits he will return to Crewe for the 2005/6 season if he has not broken into the Liverpool first team squad by the end of this season.
"I have really enjoyed my time working with Dario Gradi and it has been great to be here," he said.
"But it was always my plan to return to Liverpool. I always wanted to go back because Liverpool are my club and I really want to try and get back in their team. I know it will be difficult but I want to try.
"At the end of the season if I'm in the same situation as I am now, then I'll review things. If Crewe were still interested then I will look at the situation again."
