North West Development Agency chief executive Steve Broomhead has been pushing the concept of a shared stadium between the Reds and the rent dodgers. However, the idea has been shot down by Tom Hicks.

"There is no interest in a shared stadium and no planned meeting to discuss this," a spokesman for Hicks told the Liverpool Echo yesterday.

Everton also say they are not interested in a shared stadium; "I can categorically state that a shared stadium is not on the agenda of either club," said their chief executive Keith Wyness in the Echo yesterday.
