Shearer blow for Magpies

As Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle battle it out for the two remaining Champions League places, Sir Bobby Robson's side will be without Alan Shearer.

He will miss the games with Birmingham and West Brom after injuring his ankle in Saturday's win at Sunderland.

With Newcastle only one point above Liverpool there is a chance that they may miss out on fourth place.
