Silvestre: Liverpool are not our biggest challenge

The French international defender, who was close to joining Gerard Houllier's men before Manchester United made a late swoop for his services, is only too aware of the rivalry between both sides but he feels Arsene Wenger's Gunners continue to pose the biggest threat to the Red Devils' continued dominance.

"I think the biggest game in England now is Arsenal and United. The Liverpool game is still important because it is a Derby and if you win it you are really happy but the biggest challenge is Arsenal. But if you look at my yellow cards the only ones I've got have been against Liverpool so there is clearly something special about this match!," Silvestre told ManUnited.com

Silvestre, though, will still expect a tough clash at Anfield with exciting young compatriots Anthony Le Tallec and Florent-Sinama Pongolle offering a unique threat to his side's hopes of victory at Anfield.

Silvestre added: "They are just starting out and I happy for them that things have been going well. They are good players, still young and under Gerard Houllier they are going to learn. I think Liverpool is a good place for them to start in the Premiership.

"I think they could pose a threat to us on Sunday because we don't know them really - we don't know what to expect from them."
