Sinama-Pongolle on target for Le Havre

The young striker netted the equaliser from close range in the 74th minute after good work from Pascal Chimbonda. The goal capped a fine performance in which he posed a goal threat throughout, at one stage beating three defenders before having his effort blocked by Nantes goalscorer Nicolas Gillet.

The goal was Sinama-Pongolle's second goal of the season, his first from open play after bagging a penalty.

Highly rated Sinama-Pongolle, along with teammate Anthony Le Tallec, will move to Anfield next summer. Liverpool midfielder Alou Diarra remains on loan at the club until the end of the season.

The trio became part of the French 'Espoirs' (meaning hopes) this season.
