Sissko a Red?

Everton have been tracking the Valencia midfielder for some time but once Rafael Benitez realised his former club were prepared to sell the Mali international he joined the Blues in the chase.

Benitez signed Sissko for Valencia two years ago and was able to persuade him to join him at Anfield in an £5m move.

Sissko's agent Jose Segui confirmed the news, telling skysports.com: "Valencia have taken the decision (to sell to Liverpool) and Momo is happier now."

Sissko is expected to sign a four year deal early next week.
