Sissoko refuses to soften

The Liverpool midfielder has come under the scrutiny of referees recently, with four bookings in just ten matches. But the player says he will not change his tough tackling approach to the game.

"I try to do my job well regardless of how I am treated by referees, I will not change the way I play to suit the referees. But it is difficult when a referee books me within 15 minutes for my first tackle. If I get two yellow cards then it is no good for the team and for a long period in the game I have to be careful," Sissoko said.

"But I cannot play any other way, it is always 100 percent. I know the best way for me to play and I hope it does not upset referees," he added.
