"We're pleased. We'd have taken that result before the game," he said after the 2-1 win. "The supporters were fantastic tonight, it was a great atmosphere and we scored two good goals, but it was a blow to concede that one in the second half.

"I'm sure Scott will be disappointed but he stopped one in the first half with one of the best saves I've seen this season. He's young and he'll learn from it and Scott and Jerzy need to keep a clean sheet in the second half of this tie.

"I don't think we'll play for 0-0 in the second leg. We've got the ability and the players to nick a goal over there - that will be the gameplan. A cleansheet and we're in the last four of this competition which is massive for this football club."
