Skrtel to have scan

The Slovakian defender twisted his knee while attempting a clearance in yesterday's game. He was clearly in a bad way as he needed oxygen on the pitch and had to be stretchered off. A scan later today will reveal the seriousness of the injury.
"Martin has twisted his knee and we will have to wait for the scan but we think it could be serious," said Rafael Benitez.
"That's the bad news for us today. When a player like Martin is on the ground you know it's serious so we will keep our fingers crossed that it won't be too bad."
