Smicer appreciates Houllier's faith

"The manager has great faith in our team and in our squad but of course we have to repay that," said Smicer.

"Every time a team fails to get the right result or is struggling then maybe the manager looks towards other players. That is only normal.

"As a team I think we still have a lot to offer but we need to start showing that as soon as possible."
