Smicer left bemused by criticism

The 29-year-old admits that being played on the left of midfield does not help him perform to the best of his ability. Smicer believes he would shine more often if he was actually picked to play in the position he was bought for.
Smicer said: "Some people always criticise me, but my best position is more inside rather than on the wing, and to move just behind the striker.
"When I play in this position I have good games because it's what I like. So I was pleased to have had that chance and to have had a good game."
