Smicer scores for reserves

Smicer played in a forward role, no doubt due to the injuries Liverpool currently have amongst their strikers, and gave an impressive performance.

Everton's reserves took the lead in the first half but Smicer equalised after the break due to good work from David Mannix and could have scored the winner just before the end.

The reserves were missing the likes of Carson, Welsh, Potter and Partridge due to the under 21's internationals so the draw was a pretty decent result for the Reds' second string.
