Smicer starts with a win

Smicer, who scored Liverpool's all important second goal as well as a penalty in the shoot-out against AC Milan back in May, joined Bordeaux on a free transfer at the end of last season.

Smicer, along with on loan Bruno Cheyrou, helped Bordeaux to a 2-0 win over Marseille in the French League's opening day fixtures.
