Smith: Reds are favourites

The veteran former Derby County boss knows only too well that relegation-threatened Portsmouth will have to 'pull out all the stops' if they are to secure a home tie with holders Arsenal in the last eight.

Smith said: "I see Liverpool as the favourites and we are going to have to pull out all the stops to get a result.

"I felt we edged the first half at Anfield last weekend, but we certainly rode our luck in the second half, before we got the equaliser. I thought Arjan De Zeeuw and Linvoy Primus were outstanding and we will be looking for more of the same this Sunday.

"We were a little fortunate to beat them at home in the league, but unfortunately this weekend we may not be as strong as we were at Anfield last Sunday. LuaLua and Curtis are cup-tied and along with Patrik Berger (knee) and Steve Stone (stress fracture), we will also be missing Amdy Faye who is suspended."
