Sochaux chase Cheyrou

Rafael Benitez made it clear Cheyrou was not part of his plans from the moment he arrived at Anfield and the Frenchman has spent all of last season on loan at Marseille. However, Cheyrou failed to break into the Marseille team and spent the season on the bench.

Cheyrou will not be returning to Anfield and is likely to try and stay in France. St Ettiene and Nice have both expressed interest in the player and now Sochaux have entered the race for his signature as well.
