Souness accepts Neill dismissal

The fiery Scot, who served the Anfield cause as both a player and a manager, admitted that he could have no complaints concerning the former Milwall defender's dismissal after seeing video evidence of the incident that forced Carragher out of the Reds 3-1 success.

Souness said: "Having seen the video he had to go and the sending-off did change the game dramatically.

"We had our backs to the wall but we were still in it until Liverpool's third goal. They did deserve to win though."
