Souness denies Duff rumours

Speculation concerning the 24-year-old's future has reached fever pitch in recent days with certain sources claiming that the Reds had already met with the Lancashire club to discuss a transfer for Duff.

According to Souness, however, no interested parties have yet made their intentions known.

Souness said: "There is nothing at all happening with Duff at the moment. As far as I'm concerned he is staying with us."
