Spain lose

Spain were beaten 2-0 by the USA in their Confederations Cup semi-final last night, their first defeat since 2006.

Xabi Alonso and Fernando Torres played the full 90 minutes while Albert Riera lasted 77 minutes. Pepe Reina and Alvaro Arbeloa were unused subsitutes.
