Luis Garcia said he has been highly impressed with Benitez, and is now sure the Spanish influence can have a positive effect on the red half of Merseyside.
He said: "The team is getting better all the time and personally I am contented. As well as Xabi Alonso, Josemi is working great and is being picked for all the games."
Alonso also spoke of his delight at the way his countrymen have fitted into the team, and spoke of his hopes for Nunez, who has been injured since his arrival.
Alonso said: "Luis (Garcia) is scoring goals, Josemi is in defence and the fans value him a lot, and Antonio (Nunez), although having bad luck to injure himself, he is recovering little by little."
