The midfielder has been out since cracking a bone in his fibula in training, back on December 19th. However, he has now recovered from the injury and is training with the first team squad again.
"Jay Spearing is back training with us now which is great news for everybody," said Sammy Lee.
"He is a very infectious character to have around the training, he is a great lad and he has great quality.
"It is great to have him back and he is chomping at the bit to play again.
"He is a good player and it's no surprise to anybody here that he has been a regular member of our squad this season.
"It was just disappointing for him and the club that he picked up his injury and even more frustrating because it happened on the training ground."
