The Reds can guarentee fifth place and entry into next season's Europa League if they beat Spurs at Anfield on Sunday.
"On their day [Tottenham] can turn it on if they want to. The amount of players they've got and the standard of players they've got means it's going to be a difficult game at Anfield," said Spearing.
"But we're the home team and if we play like we did against Fulham we'll put them under pressure.
"The game on Sunday is going to be massive. The Europa League is still a massive competition and Liverpool need to be attempting to win as much silverware as possible.
"We're all fighting for places now and everyone wants to play well.
"We want to end the season on a high and we've got to chase Tottenham. We showed against Fulham what we're all about and we want to finish high."
