Spurs worthy of a point says Jol

Liverpool dominated the first half and deservedly went in 1-0 up at the interval. Spurs improved their game in the second half however, and put the Reds' defence under a lot of pressure. It took a man of the match performance from Jamie Carragher to keep Tottenham out and preserve Liverpool's advantage.

After the game, Spurs' manager Martin Jol said his side's second half performance was worthy of at least a point.

"If you look at the second half, the worse the weather was the better we played," he said.

"I think we deserved a point out of it but we couldn't score. Maybe they had only one chance in the second half and we had enough chances to get something out of the game."
