Stephane expected to miss derby

The Swiss defender is still struggling to recover from a calf operation and, with Sami Hyypia suspended, Gerard Houllier is likely to opt for Igor Biscan and Djimi Traore at the centre of defence.

"Stephane will be back from Switzerland tomorrow but we do not expect him to be ready for the derby," said Houllier.
