The Reds have beaten Arsenal to the signature of the Moroccan international according to the Daily Mirror today. The paper is reporting that Chamakh will sign a pre-contract agreement with Liverpool this month before joining them on a Bosman in the Summer.
Chamakh apparently met with Reds officials last week and agreed in principle the contract he will sign in July. The money raised by the sale of Andrea Dossena and Andriy Voronin will help fund the striker's signing on fee.
