Czech striker Milan Baros has revealed that Gerard Houllier has told him he will have more opportunities at Anfield next season, after a less than desirable start to his Liverpool career.

Baros has only figured once as a sub since joining the Reds and Kop Talk sources within the Anfiel camp couldn't understand what all the fuss was about when he was signed.

Rumours that he continues to spit his dummy out and make his feelings known to other team members about his lack of opportunities continue but speculation that he will move on in the summer has been rubbished by the management.

"Houllier talked to me last week and he told me it was great that I've hung on and that next season will be more promising," said Baros.

"I've got the hardest part of it - the first five months - already behind me, but Houllier told me that next year it's all down to what I do myself."
