Sturridge back in training

Daniel Sturridge is working hard to regain fitness in the hope of returning to the Liverpool team before the end of the season.

The Echo reports that while Adam Lallana expects to be back for Monday night's game with Watford, it is too soon for Sturridge, but the striker is having rehab away from the squad as he recovers from a hip problem picked up preparing for last Sunday's game against Crystal Palace.

However, rumours are circulating that the 27-year-old has played his last game for the Reds and will be shipped out in the summer, with manager Jurgen Klopp favouring a forward line-up of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

It's difficult to see where a player of Sturridge's calibre could go, as injury problems have blighted his Anfield career.
