The 20-year-old midfielder, who currently plays for Djurgardens in his native Sweden, has attracted the interest of many of Europe's elite over the past twelve months. Liverpool scouts were said to be in attendance when Kallstrom played in his side's opening game of the season on Tuesday.

The player has revealed that he is delighted to hear of interest from Liverpool - though he refuses to be unduly influenced by the current speculation.

Kallstrom, speaking to Sportbladet, said: "It is flattering that my displays get them (Liverpool) interested and that they want to come and watch me. There are too many who come to watch, but nobody wants to buy. That you have just got to live with."
