Terry praises Gerrard

Terry has praised Gerrard's performances this season and says the midfielder is a born leader who will inspire his England team mates at next month's World Cup.

"Steven Gerrard is a leader. He was unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable, in the FA Cup final. The first goal was unbelievable enough but what a strike for the second one," said the Chelsea skipper.

"He's certainly done the business at Liverpool and he's done it with England too and I'm sure he will do it in the World Cup as well. The more leaders the better.

"There are a lot of captains in this England team and that's really positive. Look in and around the place and you have people like Gary Neville and Rio Ferdinand.

"It's been great for the lads because they are looking out for the players' best interests, getting things organised. Gary Neville is spot on and he has that on the pitch as well.

"It's great having someone like that talking to you the whole game and sometimes they can talk you through it.

"You want players like that talking, especially at the back as well, demanding from the back like we all do. You can only help the team like that."
