Liverpool 'keeper Jerzy Dudek is hoping that Gerard Houllier completes the signing of his pal Brett Emerton.

"I have no doubt that he will be good for English football," said Dudek.
"I hope he can come to Liverpool because his mentality is like those of the people we have at the club. I hope Brett can make the same choice as I made last summer by signing for Liverpool. I know he would be happy here.
"But I can't say for sure that he will come. I know from my own past experience how clubs can conduct deals. Just because you want to go somewhere doesn't mean you will, because there is always someone behind you who can make a decision which can stop your dreams.
"Brett knows that, because I have spoken to him. Now he is just waiting for a few days to see what the situation will bring."
If Liverpool don't act soon, Emerton will probably end up at Newcastle or failing that, Leeds.
