Here's just a few comments from the forum members about such a proposed move:
No matter how much I hope we stay at Anfield I wouldn't bet against a future where the two clubs play alternate weeks in Anison or Goodifield.

I think it would be great, financially. I suppose the seats couldnt be red though which would be a shame. But it seems stupid the two clubs building separate stadiums and, IMO, wasting money.

Its about identity. In the same way I wouldnt want to live in the same house as a serial killer I dont want to share a football ground with the bluenoses. No matter how the media like their audiences to believe that the blue and red side of the city are the best of friends and walk hand in hand to derby games this is not the reality of the situation. A quick look on that Blue Kipper forum should be enough to convince the powers that be that Liverpool football club deserve a home of their own...at Anfield.

I'd sooner brush my teeth with broken glass than ground share with anyone let alone Everton.

Why should we cough up the money so Everton can have a new stadium? Everton couldn't even get their £30m share of a £300m stadium so what makes people think they will be able to pay for a joint stadium with us? LFC want a new stadium that is ONLY owned by Liverpool Football Club. Not one that is 90% owned by LFC and 10% by Everton FC.

The sharing of a stadium makes lotsa sense, the bigotry that both sets of fans are capable of coming up with can be overcome.

The name is easy. Just build it one stanley park as we intended and call it 'Stanley Park'. I dont think I'd be against the idea of sharing though. Makes sense to avoid being landed with a big debt, self financing or not. I'd still much prefer to see the redevelopment of Anfield though even though we're told its not possible Im sure that with enough effort it would be, afterall we already own most of the houses in the immediate area.

I dont think it will ever happen, especially with Evertons funding problems, but if possible I'd be well up for it if it gave us the chance of a world class stadium (unlike the proposed reebok stadium....i mean 'new Anfield').

Do you think we should share?
