Here are just a few of your comments received at LFC Online:

Maybe its not the manager or the team we should get rid of. Maybe its some of the so called supporters.  These are outside supporters who can afford to go to the match, but do not put there full support behind the team at matches. I used to support the reds but cant afford to go anymore we use to support the team for the full match and always out shouted the oppositions supporters we always encourage the team, not knocked them down.  We were the 12th man, and could almost suck the ball in the net for an extra goal.   Attack  attack   attack  was our call. But it did not mea n attack our team. 100% backing is what our team and manager needs.

Liverpool has spent over 100,000 million pounds on players since Houllier has been in charge & where are we now ?. We seem so intent on buying cheap foreign players that are not up to the standard of playing in the Premiership. When you lose to sides like Sunderland, Crystal Palace, etc, what does that say ?. I'm fed up hearing excuse after excuse why we're not performing. Either the pitch was bad, or we were unlucky, or we are still a young side, & so on, & so on.  When will the penny drop. I have supported Liverpool for over 25 yrs & have never been so frustrated than I am now. At times we are boring to watch & we seem to sell any quality players with any creativity & Redknapp, Litmanen, etc ) but yet buy players that just aren't up to it ( Smicer & too many others to name ). Maybe it's time for a change & start fresh again. We appear to have some very good young players such as Mellor & Partridge coming through the ranks but we don't give them a go. We at times lack the basic skills & lack creativity. We get the ball too out attacking third & seem to have no where to go. It needs to be sorted out & it needs to be done now or the likes of Man Utd, Arsenal, Newcastle, etc will keep on improving. You only have to look at Newcastle as an example. They buy the best of young English talent & we buy foreign crap. Enough said.....

I can't believe the liverpool fans especially in Singpaore.  They always tell me that GH should be sacked.  So easy to say that, but when GH comes to any country all soccer bosses hold him in high regard.  Always remember, the manager can only do so much - train them , but it is always the players also who ultimately performs on the pitch.
Patrick Chin

Give Houllier the benefit of doubt, in his time at Anfield he has brought us more silverware than the preceding manager. I don't think Thompson is good enough to be thrust into spot-light. Let him (GH) manage our football team.
Brett Loder

If feel that the intense pressure that Houllier has come under in recent months is mostly unfounded. That is not to say he is with out faults i.e. turning a blind eye to the poor performances of some players and ignoring others on red hot form.Enough about that though as the point is Houiller has brought us back to respectabilty after years in limbo(the spice boys,Phil Babb,etc...)and reinstilled respect, pride and unfortunately for him expectation. This is why I feel he deserves the five years he said originally it would take to make Liverpool a championship team again. Now if he fails to even come close to delivering this I am afraid I will join the chorus Houllier out as you have to keep progressing and if he can`t do it the board need to find someone who can.

Why was Vignal shipped out?
Why was Heskey played left half?
Why do our strikers miss so many?
Why are there so few goals from midfield?
Why does Houlier not own up to the poor sysytems that cause each of the above. Vignal and John Arne down the left was always the best. Still it was Houlier who bought them too. I wish I knew where the so called development was going, we are poorer than two years ago with the prospect of yet more youngsters (as good as they may be) from France. We simply need shots that go past keepers like Tosh, Keegan, Case Dalglish Rush Aldridge even fattie Robbo could do it. Back to school for some i think.
Sean Keeley

Houllier has lost the plot everyone says we need width but he refuses to play that way. We need consistency but he changes all the time. He has let great players go like litmanen and Anelka. We are going backwards, if it means getting rid of GH then so beit. Plus i hate the way Babbel throws off his shirt and thats the end of his career its crap
Gareth Hughes

I think it wil be a massive mistake to get rid of our manager Mr Houllier, I have high regard for this man, and must be considered one of the best tactically in the world. He is respected by all footballing governing bodies, so how does bob from nowhere come up with this utter crap. Houllier has rebuilt this club from scratch reformed our bad ways, given chance to all the players and kept the ones that did the job both on and off the field. Yes we have had bad resuts of late. but when summer comes al the weak links will be sold, I believe when he took over this club he said he had a five year plan ,If i am correct only four have past and he has done well. We all want the Duff'sof this world but did they want to come? And what about Owen, Why are we hasseling such a gifted footballer. any team in the world would bu im and we are going to se him crazy lot oh yes he is not scoring at present but he is so intelligent and is always at the right place at the right time, surely the goals will come for the wonderful person . he does footbal proud and is the right image for the game pity there aren't many like him around and thank GOD houllr did not et him go anywhere because we wil be crying. So keep up the good. I wish bot Mr Houllier and Michael Owen the very best of luck and hope to see you where you are for a long succesful time.
Simon Borg

In Houllier we trust, i'm backing him all the way, it's the least the man deserves for his Love and Passion for the club.
Tarik Soliman

RETURN TO GLORY!!!
Current performance is nowhere near what LIVERPOOL Supporters are used to. We have problems. We want success and Houlier is NOT going to give it to us.
Pravin Hansraj

i believe the concept of losing gh is a bigger step backward than appointing graeme souness, give us man u refs and the league would be anfield bound,we all learn by mistakes gh is no different.
Rodger Waters

A supporter since they were in the 2nd Division in the 50's, I am weary of shouting at the TV screen when Houllier appears to justify the latest appalling performance using words such as "luck", "the team played well, but" etc., etc. Supporters are neither blind nor stupid and will not be fobbed off by pathetic utterances. The lack of basic structure, basic skills(passing & finishing) and tactics implies an absense of strategy on the part of the manager (he does not know his best team) and lack of will on the part of the Board to do something about it. Luck has never entered into Liverpool FC's approach and Houllier is giving all the appearance of a windbag looking around for meaningless excuses for his own shortcomings. Aside from all that, Owen needs a spell in the reserves to acquaint himself with burying the ball in the net; Baros & Heskey look the form duo up front.
Howard Cusack

Houllier, I belive failed to qualify for the world cup in '94 when French Manager, Basically the same team won it 4 years later....
I thought O'Neill was the man for us when Roy was in charge, my view on this hasn't changed.
Smudger Smith

Mr. Houllier is one of the best coach in the game. His job was tremendios, but in my opinion his heart problems slowly arrived problems of the team. The best for him is to win Worthy Cup and then say us Au revoire!
YNWA, Le Boss!
Virgil Paslariuc

Yes he has done a lot for the club and no-one I think is denying that, but it has become clear that Houllier has no other way of playing and our current way isn't going to win the league. We are so far behind Arsenal and Utd its frightening and the players that he buys are just not good enough. He's come as far as he can so he should leave at the end of the season while he still can be remembered for the good times!
Andy Brown

I can't believe the back stabbing from so called Liverpool fans.
Mark Sheridan

Houllier is the best and should be given 5 years to see if he can get us back to the top where LFC belongs!
Tom Adams

We need new blood. O'Neill could be the man for the job I think?
LFC Dave

Gerard Houllier gave us a treble and a dip in league form isnt enough to justify getting rid of him for someone like Martin ONeill who is nowhere near as good a manager.
