The Reds boss feels that the victory over Manchester City has signalled an upturn in the clubs fortunes.

He said: "I noticed before the Manchester City game that something was going to happen.

"Sometimes you need closer self-examination within a team, as players, as members of staff.

"Probably we will take the second half of the season by the scruff of the neck and do something different.

"We are not happy because we do not like to suffer. If we suffer, our fans suffer and our job is to make people happy.

"So the victory was extremely important from a psychological point of view for the players, the fans and the whole club."
