"No disrespect to the team that was here last time but I think this team winning the Champions League has given everyone more confidence," said the player who the fans refer to as 'God'.
"Then the run they went on this season without conceding has been phenomenal so this is as good a team as I've seen in a long time at Liverpool.
"The obvious target for me is just to do well for the team and if I score any amount of goals then great. If I can help this team to be successful then even better. That is the main aim, for Liverpool to be successful. I'm confident in what I can do and I think with this team anything is possible."
