Thompson: We dominated

The Reds only secured a point through a John Arne Riise goal and could well have lost the game if it were not for the late heroics of Jerzy Dudek. Thompson, though, insists that the Reds deserved more then a solitary point for their efforts.

Thompson, speaking to Sky Sports, said: "I can't believe we didn't get more than a point. That is the way our luck seems to have been going. It would have been an absolute travesty if we hadn't got something out of the game. I sat and watched Geremi's free-kick go in and I felt 'this is not right'.

"We were playing against another Premiership team and we have absolutely dominated. We have not been able to put it in the back of the net but it is not for a want of trying."
