The Spanish striker missed Sunday's 3-0 demolition of Newcastle United at Anfield after suffering hamstring problems in training, but manager Rafael Benitez insists it is nothing serious.
"We've played without Gerrard or without Torres this season and we have confidence to win like we did today," he said.
"Fernando suffered a slight hamstring problem. He was nearly ready for this one but certainly would not have started.
"Anyway, it's nice to know that we have Torres there for the next game just in case."
