Despite being subsituted after 86 minutes after struggling to break down a resolute Italian defence, Torres says last night's quarter final win was the highlight of his international career to date.
"I'm enjoying this victory," said the Liverpool striker.
"I think we all must look back at the harder moments to realise how important this is.
"This is the most beautiful time I've ever experienced with the Spanish team."
