Torres should make his Liverpool debut in today's Premiership opener at Aston Villa. It's something he's eagerly looking forward to revealed Rafa Benitez.

"I know he's a little nervous because he's excited about playing his first real game for Liverpool," said the Reds boss.

"He's particularly looking forward to playing at Anfield for the first time next week because he's heard so much about the fans and the atmosphere.

"There is always pressure in football, but he knows this because he was an icon at Atletico Madrid, so it won't be too different for him and there will be a lot of people here and good players to help him. He will need time, but every new player in England needs time.

"He's also used to being targeted by defenders, but he can handle this, too. He's a strong boy. He's been talking a lot about this first game and we know he's ready."
