The Liverpool striker picked up a muscle injury while on international duty on Saturday. However, the knock is not a serious one and since Spain have already qualified for the World Cup they will take no chances with Torres and won't play him on Wednesday if he isn't 100% fit by then.

"We will be very cautious with Fernando Torres. We have until Wednesday to assess his condition. We believe that physiotherapy treatment that we've started yesterday will help," said Spain's doctor, Oscar Celada.
