Torres promises more goals

Torres became the first Liverpool player since Robbie Fowler in 1996 to score 20 Premiership goals in a season with his header against Reading on Saturday.

It's a great achievement in his debut season in English football, but Torres isn't finished there.

"This is a proud moment for me," said the striker after winning the Premiership player of the month award for February.

"I'm especially happy as it's happened in a coutnry outside my own, and I think thta makes success harder to achieve. I want to thank my teammates, because this award is for them as well.

"I'm certain everyone will have something to say, but I'm not sure what it will be yet. What I do know is that I'm going to be here at Liverpool for a while, so I'm hoping this will be the first of many awards I can win.

"I have a room in my house where I keep all the awards I've won in my career. The hat-trick balls I've picked up this season are in there now and I think this award will look really good sitting alongside them!"
