Transfer deadline passes

Rafael Benitez is still hopeful of bringing another striker to Anfield. However, the new man will be unable to play against Maccabi Haifa after the deadline to register players for the Champions League third round qualifier passed.

Providing Liverpool get past Maccabi Haifa they will have until August 31st to register players for the group stage.
