"They are a good side but we showed tonight that we're not far behind them and we performed much better than we did in Spain last month.
"Now we know we have to win in Switzerland and we are definitely capable of doing that. The manager told us after the game not to be too down because we played well and there is still a chance for us to go through."
With a home game against West Ham on Saturday, Liverpool will be looking to maintain their record of never having lost a Premiership game following midweek Champions League action.
"We're not used to losing so it's an unusual feeling for us all tonight, but we hope to get back on track again at the weekend against West Ham."
