Rafael Benitez said: "We don't know yet how long Traore will be out for, but he won't be playing tomorrow.
"I need to speak with the doctor to talk about the situation and then I will have a better idea about the injury.
"We have a number of players with kicks and bruises since last weekend and at the moment I'm waiting to see how many of them will be fit for this weekend's match."
Stephen Warnock is likely to take Traore's place in Liverpool's first eleven.
