UEFA to decide on missile throwing incident

Steven Gerrard was hit by what appeared to be a cigarette lighter when taking a corner in front of the visiting French supporters.

Unlike Didier Drogba a couple of weeks ago, the Liverpool skipper ignored the incident and proceeded to take the kick.

"The UEFA delegate is aware of what happened to Steven and it is now in his hands," said a spokesman for Liverpool Football Club.
