Under 18's beaten

Liverpool would have overtaken Blackburn at the top of the table had they won but were beaten 1-0 in a game of few chances.

The Reds could have taken the lead after 22 minutes when they were awarded a penalty but James Frayne's spot kick was saved by the Rovers goalkeeper.

The miss was to prove costly when Blackburn were awarded a penalty of their own on the half hour mark. Rovers successfully converted the kick and then held out to claim all the points.
