Under 18's beaten

Arsenal beat the Reds 2-1 at Anfield last night to record a 6-2 aggregate victory and lift the FA Youth Cup.

Liverpool had their chances with Laurie Dalla Valle coming close on a couple of occasions, but Arsenal were in command throughout the first half and extended their lead through Sanchez Watt. It took a couple of decent saves from Dean Bouzanis and a couple of important blocks from Joe Kennedy to preven the Gunners extending their lead.

The Reds came out of the traps well at the start of the second half and levelled things on the night after 51 minutes. Chris Buchtmann headed on to Dalla Valle and the Finn comfortably beat the keeper for the equaliser.

The goal stung Arsenal into action and they began to turn the screw. They got a deserved winner on 70 minutes when Watt skinned Kennedy and saw his cross deflected in by the unfortunate Daniel Ayala.
