Saturday's haul means that John Owens' side have scored 18 goals in five games so far this season.

This week's goals were scored by Ryan Flynn, Robbie Threlfall, Adam Hammill and two from Michael Nardiello.

Nardiello gave the Reds the lead on 15 minutes before Huddersfield equalised. Liverpool soon regained their lead when Flynn headed in their second after man of the match Adam Hammill had a shot saved. Nardiello then scored his second to give the Reds a 3-1 half-time lead.

In the second half Hammill's free kick was headed in by centre-back Thelfrall for the fourth before the impressive winger added the fifth himself.

Coach John Owens said: "It was a big pitch and I always feel with a big pitch the better team has a chance to show that.

I felt it was to our advantage and that is how it turned out.

"We started well and in the end ran out comfortable winners. In the second half we kept the ball very well, probably because we were 3-1 ahead.

"Adam Hammill had a very good game and he was dribbling past them almost at will. And he got the chance to score at the end. He had had two chances earlier, one saved and one just past the goal, but he took his effort well and deserved it."
